The Man. A kick butt season really. We noticed he was fast (but crashy) last year, but still this year his form was a real surprise. Looking back over his childhood / junior career, he has always been an incredible talent: 41 national titles, and 70 state titles by the age of 14 after which he came to Europe. As a 14 yr old he came 2nd in both the British and Spanish 125 cc road-racing championships that he competed in simultaneously, missing the occasional race due to event clashes. A smattering of GP 125 and 250 wins and podiums in 2003-4 was followed by a decent 250 ride in 05 where he was 2nd in the championship to Pedrodsa with ten podiums and five wins. 06 was about his only career (not very) bad year, and 07 was therefore maybe not so surprising.
