Some five weeks have passed. My only claim to local fame is that I've lost 16kg in the last nine weeks. Being a person who habitually becomes engrossed in fantasy - I had set myself a twelve month target of achieving a body-mass index of mid range healthy/normal. I was 94.3kg in late August which equated to a BMI of 28, and with the healthy range usually being broadcast as 20-25, I had a weight target of 75.3kg = BMI 22.5. Pure fantasy - I've never lost any weight in my life except for whilst being ill with a bi-annual flu, which only netted an average loss of 1-2kg - so 19kg in a year was a pipe dream. Probably a pipe with wacky-backy in it. No that I've ever touched any inhalible smoke of any sort; am not that looney.
Anyway - nine weeks after starting, I have 2.9kg to go to reach that BMI of 22.5. But if I am stopped by even one more person who asks if I have a terminal illness... My fitness level has improved hugely, and both my resting pulse and blood pressure have dropped 30%. All's good.
Tonight I explore the world of Guild Wars 2 for the first time.
I bought a copy a week ago, but it was hijacked by my Taff, and so I've bought another copy :-) It loks very pretty and Taff has taken a character up to lvl 30 already - and she loves it. So I'm hopeful it's cool.
Mind you, I'm not abandoning WoW anytime soon!
