time passes...

Pandas.  Bamboo.  Great walls.  Apparently it's what Blizzard thinks we need.  And they are probably right.  Mists of Pandaria is an initially faction free utopia where we get to make our pets fight to the death in wee arenas of furry bloodlust.  There will be some nasty Hun unspecific over the wall mobs that threaten our serenity and we will progress another 5 levels to nonogenarian presumabley vegetarian heights. I wonder who has to fall off the active roster?  Goodbye double-ups.

I still detest cricket for reasons inexplicable.  I wasn't always like this, but Steve Waugh did retire, and my interest thereafter waned.  I remember seeing him in Newcastle somewhere in the mid 80s playing Sheffield Shield and very much enjoyed his rise and rise through the ranks after shining in '87 in the ashes series. I bought all his diaries and loved his captaining and playing style - conservative enough to match each situation, but unpredictable and dangerous for the opposition.  He is my age, and after he retired I felt my cricket time was also over.  Another bloke I've always admired is Peter Roebuck. His wit and wisdom, point of view and insight, were always worth the listen.  I'm saddened to see him gone.
