The important bits of the new year zone have passed by. Dazza and family came to stay for a few days after xmas: was excellent to catch up again, it's been way too long. As the Thompsons were leaving Michael and Marco mobiled in their imminent arrival to catch the tropical fruits trance quest and swim meet: been way too long there as well, but we managed to get a cake iced for the 2nd to embarrass Mikes 43rd... The third of January happened to be 20 years to the day since Jen and I stood before a minister and swore a bit. We celebrated that one with a trip to Alstonville for Frank and Cath Pearce's 60th wedding anniv blast: was very cool and included the usual telegram thingies from Mr Rudd, the GG, and the queer old dean - a diamond moment.

Must mention the rain. About 15 inches of water have departed the sky and splashed upon us in the last week. The local river is above moderate and is rising toward major flood level, our regional water supply dam has risen 30% to reach 90%, and nearly all roads out of town are cut. The desk of weather law predictions has relayed the opinion that the real precipitation is about to happen shortly. If I was real lucky my workplace would be picked up gently to drift down the Wilson river, clout Coraki as it joined the Richmond river, infect Ballina with MRSA as it crossed the bar, then proceed upon the fetid northern rivers floodwater until far enough out into the south pacific ocean so as to be able to sink without possibility of salvage. But I will probably just spend the next 23 days straight on sonobloodyography until Alllan gets back from holidays. Shortly thereafter I will catch up with Bravus and get to see our classical ferric concert.
