Indeed, for MacLean's Ridges or even Goonellabah to be bathed in those muddy waters would require a deluge the proportion of THE flood of Matsya, Noah, Deucalion, Utnapishtim et al. Worse luck - I had my boogie board all ready to rage. The place hardest hit was Kyogle - the heaviest precipitation was within the upper reaches of the Richmond river catchment rather than the Wilson River leaving Lismore relatively unflooded. The Lismore - Casino road that probably still haunts the dreams of Number 6 was cut by floodwater around Tatham for the first time in forever. A wet xmas and new year for all concerned. Must be this fake global warming - climatic emperor's new clothes - that the media are all beating up.
